CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of over a hundred organic compounds found in the cannabis sativa plant.
These compounds interact with the endocannabinoid system, a network of receptors intertwined with the body’s central and peripheral nervous systems, that has an effect on a number of bodily functions including mood, sleep patterns, appetite, pain, immune response and hormones.
What Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?
Full Spectrum CBD Oil means that the CBD Oil you're buying contains the full range of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids found within the cannabis plant.
By contrast, broad spectrum CBD oil is processed to remove the THC from the products, and CBD isolate products have been refined so that only the CBD remains.
As full spectrum CBD oil is the closest you can get to the cannabis plant itself, we like to leave things exactly as nature intended.
Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil Legal In The UK?
Yes, CBD oil is legal in the UK.
Many people assume that full spectrum CBD oil is not legal in the UK because it is made from the cannabis plant. However, it’s THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol, that is the controlled substance found in recreational Cannabis.
CBD, on the other hand, is not a controlled substance, and is made from strains of cannabis that contain naturally low levels of THC. Only full spectrum CBD oils made from these approved strains of the plant are legal.
As Full Spectrum CBD Oil is a completely natural product, it’s considered exceptionally safe.
All of our products are manufactured to an extremely high standard, and our cannabinoid profiles are lab-verified so you can be certain you know exactly what you’re putting into your body.
We do advise if you have never used CBD before to start with a smaller dose and work your way up, and if you are already taking any form of medication we recommend consulting your doctor or healthcare professional beforehand.
Does Full Spectrum CBD Oil Have Any Side Effects?
While users claim there are many benefits of full spectrum CBD oil, side effects are extremely rare and are typically very mild if they are encountered.
Taking too much CBD oil too quickly could make you feel a little tired, or may cause an upset stomach, this can be resolved by simply taking a little less for a while to allow your body to get used to the cannabis oil.
Will Full Spectrum CBD Oil Show Up On A Drug Test?
While a high-quality full spectrum CBD oil should not cause a positive result on a drug test, there is a chance that excess levels of THC present in unverified, lower quality products will cause users to fail a drug test.
If you’re worried about CBD oil showing up on a drug test, we have recently launched our CBD patches. They’re designed to give you the full benefits of CBD, but contain no THC, making them perfect for people, such as top level athletes, who are subject to regular drug testing.
Can I Rub CBD Oil On My Skin For Pain?
While our CBD oils can be used on the skin for pain, they’re most effective when ingested by holding 2-3 drops under the tongue for 2 minutes before swallowing.
If you’re looking for something to use on your skin, we have a range of dedicated topical CBD products that are specifically designed for this purpose.
How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?
The amount of CBD needed will vary from person to person, but we recommend people start somewhere in the middle with a medium-strength product.
The CBD dosage varies depending on which strength CBD you choose. Our range has everything from 250mg to 2000mg, so a couple of drops of the lower strength CBD oils may have less of an impact than a higher strength product.
It's all about finding out what works best for you.
CBD Oil is made by using CO2 extraction to get CBD and the other compounds out of the cannabis sativa plant.
CO2 extraction stops any residual solvents from being left once the process is complete, which results in a much better quality product.
The finished CBD extract is then added to a hemp seed oil carrier oil, and packaged up for sale.
Why Don't You Sell CBD Capsules?
To put it simply, we don't sell CBD capsules because it's not as effective as CBD Oil.
CBD capsules only offer a bioavailability of around 3%, which means that 97% of the CBD you're ingesting is going to waste.
CBD Oil is much more effective than CBD capsules, with a bioavailability of between 10% - 15%.
Does Full Spectrum CBD Oil Get You High?
Despite being made from the cannabis sativa plant, full spectrum CBD oil does not get you high.
The compound responsible for the "high" associated with recreational cannabis use is THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol.
While CBD oil does contain traces of this compound, the THC content within our CBD products is very small, in trace amounts, so you won't feel any negative effects by using CBD oil.
